The Dartmouth College Department of Athletics honored numerous individuals and teams for their achievements at the annual Celebration of Athletic Excellence on Monday evening.

Dartmouth spent the weekend at the ECAC Championships at Princeton's Weaver Stadium. The meet began Friday night, but the Big Green did not start competition until Saturday.

This week's athletes are putting Dartmouth back on the map after an absence of many years.

Six individuals and one relay group claimed event titles for the Big Green on Sunday, but in the end it was Harvard winning and edging out second-place Dartmouth, 162 points to 149.

In pursuit of its first title in nearly four decades, the Dartmouth women's track & field team currently sits seventh with 14 points after the first day at the 2014 Ivy League Heptagonal Outdoor Championship.

The Big Green women's track & field team will seek its first Ivy League Heptagonal Outdoor Championship since 1977 this weekend at Yale's Cuyler Field & Dwyer Track.
